Thermoweb has the BEST Sew-in Interfacing to use with mask construction. I had to use it to make our masks!
Would you like to make a mask? Or two or three? Here are the supplies I used:
HeatnBond Sew-In Interfacing
Mint Confetti Cotton from Riley Blake
Mint Aurifil Thread
Olfa Rotary Cutter
Oliso Iron
1/4" Elastic
Sewing Machine
I did a few things differently from the tutorial. I have a tendency to change patterns...a lot!
I used the HeatnBond Sew-in Interfacing for the 'lining.' The Sew-in Interfacing is 9 inches wide by 6 yards. This size was so helpful! I wasn't dealing with large amounts of interfacing for such a small project. And you can get 25 masks made with this interfacing package! Amazing! This will come in handy throughout the school year as we continue to lose our masks!
This pattern makes a three-layer mask. There is also a pocket for a filter if needs be.
This was for sure not what we had anticipated as our back to school. But with everything in 2020, we have learned to roll with the punches. And look super cute in our new mint mask!
Thanks for following along today! If you would like to see more of what I'm up to, check out my blog, Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest accounts!
Chirp Out!
