Letter to Santa with Deco Foil

Hello creative peeps! It's Ellen here again sharing inspiration. Every year thousands of children write letters to Santa. This is one of the many fun traditions in the United States; so what's better than a letter for 'Santa' during our themed week?

Before we send our special letter to the North Pole let me explain how I made it.

Letter to Santa Instructions

1. I wanted to create an envelope with a card attached in the middle. For that, we need an envelope that fits our card. I used an Envelope Punch Board for this, but you can open a real envelope, trace and cut it out of paper. 2. Afterward, I foiled one flap of the envelope. For that, I used Purple Tape, Transfer Gel, the stencil pal, the new 'Autumn Wishes' stencil and 'Glimmer Gold' foil. 3. Later on, I used the Label border foil mates with the 'Glimmer Gold' foil to create a fun label. I pushed the printed label with the 'Glimmer Gold' foil on top, true a laminator. I did the same with the Toner Sheet and 'Sparkling Silver' foil. Afterward, I die cut the letters 'Santa' from it. 4. By adding more layers I got a pretty front for Santa's letter. 5. On the inside, I attached my card with the Adhesive Dot runner. Then it's time to decorate the inside. 6. I created a tag and a background with a similar background. First I did color the paper with blue Distress Inks. Then I added white 'Glitz Glitter Gell' with a stencil pall true a stencil. 7. Further, I added different elements. Each time I stamped, inked, and cut the illustrations from the 'Wishing You Joy' stamp set. Some of them got extra glitter by using the coordinating stencil and more Glitz Glitter Gell. This idea with special envelopes that you can open comes from an aerogram. Aerogram letters were made to send out secret messages inside the envelope during the war. This one is just a little different as it's intended of course for Santa, with a holiday touch on it. Don't you think this kind of card is super fun to make with your kids?
