Hi friends! Jessica here! 😊
Foil is one of my favorite ways to add a little extra magic to a page, and Day 12 of my 2025 December Daily was calling for it. If you've never worked with Fuse Foiling Gel and a laminator before, don't worry — it's easier than it looks, and the payoff is so worth it. Here's exactly how I got that sparkle onto my page.

Day 12 of my 2025 December Daily needed some sparkle, so I grabbed my palette knife and spread Fuse Foiling Gel down the side of my left page. Let it dry for about 45 minutes — you want it clear but still a little tacky, since that's what lets the foil actually transfer. Once it's ready, sandwich your stenciled page (foil pretty side up) between a craft and carrier sheet. If you're cutting down your foil, just make sure it fully covers your design with a bit of extra room on all sides. Run it through your hot laminator on setting 3, folded edge first, for the best transfer.

Once it comes out, peel back the foil sheets and there it is — all that sparkle! From there I dug into my Layle by Mail stash for embellishments, adhering die cuts with Mixed Media Adhesive, then added my journaling and some stamping to finish the design.

To get the page into my travel notebook, I use Easy Tear Tape in the 1/2" size — it's the easiest method I've found. Apply the tape directly to the notebook page first, then adhere just the center of your page, lining it up carefully. Once it's set, peel off the remaining backing pieces and press the rest down. This spread came together so fast and turned out gorgeous!

Thank you for being here today and I hope I’ve inspired you to create something beautiful!
