Hello friends! It's Juliana here from 17turtles and today I'm sharing with you how to add shine and dimension to die cuts using my favorite Therm O Web Adhesives and Deco Foil. Die cuts are always a wonderful embellishment for a card. However, when you add some shine and pop them up they really stand out and grab your attention.

Add Shine and Dimension to Die Cuts with Deco Foil

To add shine to your die cuts, begin with a piece of Therm O Web Peel N Stick Toner Sheet. Die cut this using Waffle Flower Crafts Pretty Butterflies Craft Die and a manual die cut machine. Cover the image with your favorite color of Deco Foil and run it through a preheated laminator. Remember to place the foil so the grain is running horizontal to the machine opening. This will help give you the best foil coverage.

Add Dimension to Die Cuts with 3D Foam Squares

Another great way to get your embellishments to stand out is to pop them up using 3D Foam Squares. They are perfect for adding dimension to your design. On this card, 3D Foam Squares were used to pop up the stamped butterfly die cuts from Waffle Flower Crafts Pretty Wings Stamp Set and Craft Die. To achieve a lesser amount of dimension, adhere strips of thin chipboard to the back side of your die cuts using Therm O Web Memory Tape Runner XL. This technique gives you varying levels of depth and really makes the design look more dimensional.
